My new baby Chelsea (at 6 days old) with her two adoring big siblings…This one I’ve ordered as a canvas.
I could eat them all up.

We’re doing great. This is my first week with three kids and all of our help gone. So far, so good – it sure helps that Carson is in kindergarten most of the day. He is loving it, and Cami is actually doing really well with more one-on-one time with Mommy.
And Chelsea is just a darling little newborn who gets her cheeks kissed non-stop.

I think I could watch her sleep all day long…Another favorite.

So these may or may not be from April… I haven’t found the time to edit them all until now. My spunky Cami Jo in her Easter outfit. And let me just say that I didn’t realize just how bad of a hack job I did on her bangs until going through these images!

She just loves holding her skirt out like a princess.

Pouty face tells me she’s done.

Love this little diva!

As soon as I saw this one, I knew it would be a favorite. My new little Chelsea, 6 days old.
I’ll be posting more as I edit them…

*UPDATE!* A friend and fellow photographer, Lillian of http://www.theportraitparties.com, enlightened me about the “remove vignette” function in ACR if you’re shooting in RAW. It’s wonderful and I will definitely be using it in the future! One simple thing I do to my newborn photos is remove the vignette. Everyone has their own style, but I prefer little to no vignette in my images. Shooting with a 50mm lens on my 5D creates some vignette. I remove most of the vignetting as part of my post-processing steps. I simply use the free action Touch of Light from MCP Actions (found HERE) with a large brush on 30% opacity. This works great on white or light blanket setups especially. See if you notice the difference in the examples below.

To me, it adds a bit of dreaminess to the photo. Hope you enjoyed this quick Tell All Tuesday! I’m going to take a nap…never mind that it’s only 8:30am!

Here is the last of my pre-baby sessions. This one took place 11 days before my induction. I breathed a sigh of relief when I finished editing, thinking “Now I can have this baby!” Sweet baby Ellasyn was a complete doll, and it was a pleasure to meet her and work with her great family!
Mom brought fun hats and headbands!

Thanks for a great session!

On Sunday, July 31, 2011 our new baby girl arrived. Meet Chelsea Rae! The delivery went perfectly, I feel great, and most importantly, Chelsea is happy and healthy. We’re in heaven having our new lil’ sis here, and feel incredibly blessed! Obviously, many more photos to come.

XOXO
