My beautiful niece, Whitney, is getting baptized a member of OUR CHURCH this week!  While in California in December, I was able to do a quick session to capture some images for her to use for her announcements.  I can’t believe she’s already 8!  We’re so proud of you, Whit!

The S family is one of my very favorites!  And it sure is fun to photograph such a gorgeous (and photogenic!) family in their outrageously gorgeous home.   It’s also fun to do a lifestyle session now and then.  This session was shot using all natural light and a mix of my 50 1.4 and 85 1.8 lenses.

My little cherub Chelsea is 6 months old today.  Squeezing and loving on her is still one of the best parts of my day.  I love cuddling and pressing my face into her delicious cheeks and lips and smothering her with kisses, just breathing her in…her milky (and now oatmeal-y!) breath, her fuzzy hair, her tiny fist opening and closing around my fingers.  OHHHHH, if I could just freeze time and live in those moments I would be happy indeed.  Here are just a few favorites from an entire lazy morning spent capturing images of my baby girl.

Hey photographers…can you remember the last time you did a session for a family of EIGHT and got multiple shots with everyone looking perfectly at the camera, smiling??  Yeah, me neither.  But this is a special family, so it figures.  This stunning family is my husband’s uncle’s family, and we love them so much!  We were able to spend time with them during our Christmas break and I was able to do a quick session at their beautiful home in California.

We just got back from a simply wonderful vacation for my husband’s family reunion in Camarillo, CA.  Here’s just one of the whole group…I’m so lucky to be a part of this amazing family!
P.S. In the craziness of setting up 22 other people and then jumping in the shot myself, I didn’t realize Carson wasn’t standing with our little family until I went through to edit these.  Can you tell he worships his older cousins?

The V family was my last session of the year (so it’s fitting I’m posting it on the last DAY of the year – happy new year everyone!).  This session was a dream…it was set up as a surprise for their mother’s birthday.  I arrived to a simply gorgeous family ready to be captured in a simply gorgeous space (Lumen Private Event Space in downtown St. Louis, which Mom owns – CHECK IT OUT!).  I had so much fun capturing this family’s love for each other, which was really apparent.Recognize little cutie Ayven from her 1-year session last Spring?
